  • Repair and service machinery and equipment.
  • Replace and/or repair defective parts.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • General repair of auto electrical components.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • Field services and breakdowns.
  • Auto electrical repairs.
  • General boilers work as required.
  • Check all machinery before leaving the yard.
  • Offsite visits to repair machinery and equipment as required.
  • Supervision and training of apprentice.
  • Log hours and parts when needed for charging back to equipment or jobs.
  • Priorities work each day.
  • Prioritize with Operations Manager to provide urgent attention to jobs as needed.
  • Attend prestart meetings in morning.
  • Advise Workshop Supervisor of equipment to be ordered and obtain purchase order when ordering direct.
  • Provide recommendations for new equipment needed as required.
  • Adhere to OH&S Standards and policies.
  • Drive machinery to site as required.
  • Verification of Competency training on all machinery.
  • Any other jobs as directed by Operations Manager that ties into role.
  • Work as part of a team with.
