JOB DESCRIPTION:
Machinist (First-Class) – CNC Lathe and Milling Machine Programmer/Operator:

• Set up the work piece on the machine using an overhead crane
• Operate the forklift.
• Set up all tooling to be used for the machining process
• Interpret mechanical and blueprints
• Checking work piece and its tolerances using precision measuring instruments
• Checking all safety precaution before starting machining
• Manual programming using G codes and M codes
• Cleaning the machine before and after machining

Measuring tools been used:

• Vernier calliper, slip gauges, dial bore gauges, snap gauges, micrometer, depth micrometer, vernier height gauge, feeler gauges, try square, plug gauges, thread gauges

Cutting tools been used:

• End mill, slot drills, milling cutters, machine and hand taps, carbide inserts cutting tools, grinding wheels, air grinder, polishing stone.

MACHINES:

• Eunuch universal CNC bed mill. 3 meter bed.
• Hartford CNC machining centre
• Zayer CNC bed milling machine Heidenhain 3000
• Mazak Quick turn CNC lathe
• Megabore hollow spindle CNC lathe.

CONTROLS:

• Mazatrol
• Siemens control
• Fanuc control
• Heidenhain control.
