JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Interpret detailed fabrication drawings and specifications
• Select the correct weld method, weld metal products in accordance with weld procedures
• Perform weld tests to qualify welder / procedures.
• Develop and plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of welding including allowances for welding shrinkage and distortion
• Experience in welding carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steels (e.g. 316, duplex)
• Experience in structural steel and pipe welding
• Knowledge of the physical properties of all grades of steel
• Set up and operate weld tooling and welding machines
• Design and construct jigs, templates, and fixtures
• Perform thermal heating and cutting operations.
• Keep working areas clean
• Reporting and participation in investigations and corrective actions of incidents and non-conformances as required.
• Ensuring to work within applicable process, quality, OH&S and environmental risk controls
• Working within applicable controls documented in organization safe work method statements
• Wearing and using personal protective equipment where necessary
• Participation and responsibilities in toolbox meetings
• Maintaining focus on enhancing customer satisfaction
• Responsible for reporting workplace hazards were identified
• Responsibility for their own health and safety at work.
• Support in development and implementation of organizational procedures and processes, where deemed necessary by top management
• To always present professionally to work
• Comply with all organizational policies, processes and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Welder 1st Class
2. Highly skilled in MIG Welding (GTAW, STT, Pulse), TIG Welding (GTAW), and FCAW.
3. Knowledgeable of different welding techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings.
4. Has documents to support your visa application.
5. Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
