One of our Australian based clients are eagerly seeking Diesel Motor Mechanic to start work immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating performance of equipment
- Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications
- Installing, testing, servicing, repairing, and modifying electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and machines. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines, etc.
- Conducting pre delivery inspections and assessing machines to ensure they are in good working order.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance of customer and JLG owned MEWP, Lighting Towers and Telehandlers.
- Assist with the training and supervision of Apprentices.
- Abide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensure all tools used are in good working order.
- Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by ANZ Standards and also by customer and/or site requirements.
- Conduct three monthly and annual inspections of machines MEWP in accordance with JLG and ANZ industry standards.
- Participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain personal retail Labour utilization rates as per target.
- Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with the team.
- General ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as Diesel Motor Mechanic focus on Mobile Elevated Work Platforms.
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical advantageous
- Has experience to carry out service and repairs to customer and company owned Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), Telehandlers and Lighting towers in the workshop and in the field.
- Has documents to support your visa application.
- Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal. Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machine manuals and street signs and understand basic numeracy such as time, parts numbers and quantities.
- Finish high school, and one year or more at college is highly desirable or graduate of any related vocational course, IELTS/PTE passer is an advantage.
